May be a difference in grind. Full hollow versus half follow, or extra hollow.May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!

Thanked: 3224With stuff like that it usually boils down to guess work as you have been getting. That is helpful but far from concrete. Believe it or not there is not a lot of proven detailed information on most SRs as they were a mass produced item, not even serial numbered. Sometimes things just are.

I would guess the scales are not original myself .... Not that I care .... The scales are wood and in good repair so good enough for me
