    I have a Barbers Pet from EBay , it looks pretty rough but after honing it shaved great . I honed it from 1000 to 12000 and after a stropping it was awesome.

    Not at all. That i did all by myself.
    I was restoring it, laid it on the table, grabbed for a rag and to the floor it went.
    It literally exploded, used a magnet to get all the pieces off the floor.
    My first oops.

    Outback,

    I'll trade you for a Dubl duck special #1 that I had do the same thing. Ha. At least I know I'm not alone. Looks more like a saw than a straight. ha.
