Maybe something to do with the size or grind ? But it would be an Ern razor.
C. Friedrich Ern, Solingen-Wald in 1922, Kanalstrasse 43 in 1939.

A bit of off-topic info about Simmons...
I discovered that two former Simmons Hardware Co. warehouses have been turned into hotels. One is in Wichita and the other is the Hardrock Cafe casino and hotel in Sioux City, Iowa.

As I mentioned in your original post that razor brand was made by C.F. Ern. For many of us here that means you won't go wrong in buying it.
btw have merged the 2 threads so all the info stays in one place.Last edited by onimaru55; 07-17-2015 at 02:02 AM.

Thanked: 5I have multiple Ern razors...Seems I have multiple types of multiple razors Damn you RAD!!! Anyway, an topic...by multiple I mean at least 10-12 and have yet to find one that even bordered on average. All are exceptional shavers. If they are not its because my initial honing was subpar and after a rehone are exceptional. I will keep buying Ern razors trying to find that first bad one...Don't worry I will find it and save you all from the danger of shaving with a bad Ern razor! Sorry I am at work again and sleep deprived.
