    Another factor to consider is the ivory has to be carved pre 1947 too. I daresay there are specialists that can authenticate ivory but it would involve costs.

    EGGZACTLY!! After living in Alaska and actually digging up Mammoth Ivory along with walrus ect, it was legal to dig and sell it, far as razor scales you can get highly colored Ivory with character you don't see in this thread for Low Dollars.

    There are a few Gent's here that I would rather have restore or make a set of Ivory scales for a razor than any store.

    Anyone want's some Mammoth Ivory ect, for scales, let me know and I'll try to hook you up with one of the native Alaskans I know, there you will get the lowest price.
