It will be 9/8, want it to be a replica of a razor I have, beautiful W&B.

And King of the Choppa's....nope, think Cheetah may have something to say about that, as well as GoldDragon and the Rodgers and a few he has, as of course there's lots of old timers here who have treasure troves of big blades, right Tom?

Remember seeing a post a couple of years ago, guy had about 8 ZipLoc bags, maybe 15-20 razors only (no scales) per bag, all Sheffield choppers, tons of them, just sitting in bags, all perfectly finished, just waiting for scales....I fainted, or blacked out if I recall correctly....

Oh dang. I guess I haven't seen enough of their collections. On the other hand, of course I've e seen at least a bit of yours on here.

9/8 is a nice size in my opinion. Look forward to seeing the razor you've commissioned

I believe you are talking about a guy that went by Traveller.. The guy had, what seemed to be, hundreds of them.

I have a friend who has been selling razors for 20 years at least.
He shared that in Ebay's infancy, he paid a dollar apiece for all he could buy.

Says it is the best thing he had ever done, buying all those razors!

I remember that picture of all those blades a few years back phrank. Same reaction as I recall...
Look forward to the birth of 'the phrank'. With so many WBs, I'm curious as to which shape it will take..

Still one more day this week mine can arrive.
    Here's hoping still.

What a sweet way to end the week it would be Mike, but then again, the waiting is the fun part....think of how great Monday's shave would be then?

Yup, you're absolutely correct, found it after doing some searches.

The amount of posts of his magnificent razors is astounding....another post with Randydance going to some guy's place to buy razors who had over 1,000, imagine what they're worth now.

    Bags and bags of Choppers!!!!

Yup, blacked out after I looked at it again....

Traveller says, "The Biggest bunch I bought was in 1965,around thenI bought all the razors that OK Feed in south Miami had in their left over stock.Maybe 3000 mostly all shefield razors most like new..."

Thanks Phrank, wow what a collection. And the story behind it is great as well.
How cool would it be to have that many, old blades in such amazing condition. I also find it interesting that they were without scales. So they were shipped and the final retailer put them on? I always guessed they were completed at the factory.......

First impression, quality packaging and protection in the mail.
Nice profile to the steel. Mine is tungsten, ordered an 8/8, comes it at nearly 9/8. Maybe since he redid the blade he added a few hundred honings for free. sure am not complaining at my end. The wait was ok based on the worth of the finished work.
Scales are horn, pinned, and thin! White wedge with a great flow into the tang. Little details I notice, and appreciate. Jimps are clean, even the blade face grind is a pleasure to look at with its symmetry of lines.
Sergej was a pleasure to work with and takes pride in his creations.
I will take pleasure and pride in using it till I can no longer..
    Cheers men.

That is one fine looking razor and I know you'll be happy shaving with it.
You'll know it was worth the wait
