Well yesterday morning, as I was stropping my new Riga, it felt loose. So I began looking it over. It happens that the hinge pin in mine is a bolt.
Not sure why a razor of this caliber would have a hex head bolt instead of a pin.
Good thing one of the many mods I have for my vaporizer had come with an oh so tiny Allen wrench.
Micro fasteners are difficult to work with. I do believe somehow I need to get some lock tight on it in the very near future.

dave if it was me id get rid of the microfastener. why have such a nice blade with that in it,, I have a Robert Williams that came that way and after a month I sent it off to be fixed,, along with having the scales reworked. Robert is a master at making razors but scale work isn't up to snuff,, so Micro fasteners ,, NOOO

Mike I really don't get razors made that match others, I always go one oft, I think if its custom it should be all yours, but the razor you just got, I,m thinking real hard on one just like it. I like it a lot, and I,m going to order a rigarazor and now I don't think I have to go thru the process of design with the maker thanks Tc

Thanks Tc, I am going to have to send it off I guess. I can pin a razor ok, not anywhere good enough yet to do this one though.

Shave report pending, yard work first.

My SRP Williams has microfastenrs still and I have tightened it numerous times. Hence my own insistence on pinning if I can choose.
TC, I agree that customs should look unique. I also know what my ideal razor traits are and this one hits every one of those wants dead on.

My dream car, built from my imagination would look a lot like a Mclaren does now. And I am ok with that, hehe.
Copying perfection is a compliment, and simply validates the original design. IMO.

Yeah, it's a keeper. Size will take some getting used to as far as sideburns trimming symmetry but that's true for any new razor I find.
It handles beautifully for its size. Neck hugging on the atg pass was predictable and smooth. Sergej's edges are certainly smooth out of the box. I did hit the big board strop for 100 laps before shaving just to make sure.
Slight smiling profile worked under the chin, and the tail was almost a monkey and I could rest my pinky on the tang tip on the wtg strokes.
A beauty all around. Respect the toe! I was aware of it and had no issue but I could see it biting if I wasn't careful along the ear.
Happy to have it and regret nothing about this decision, like the rest of you.

that's interesting about the microfasteners 'cuz mine came with pins. i didn't get a box with mine though.
