Glock, as far as I'm concerned you have not offended me and i'm sorry to hear noone has helped you.
One thing i will say is this and i will stop.
Michael, if you are proud of your work, why use the Wade & Butcher name? Why not use your own name?
If it's different from the way the original Wades were made and location then it simply isn't Wade & Butcher.

I can't help thinking that the argument has got out of hand - if we go back to the original post it's plain that the thread was started with no knowledge as to who was behind it. Michael came in only to let people know what his plans are - so to claim some form of unfair pre-advertising on his part is just not the case. From what I can see there is nothing the moderators could take offence with.
Having said that, I agree with you that whatever is produced will be nothing more than a semi-custom razor with the W&B brand. While not criticising the plans or motivation behind them, I don't see much point in resurrecting the name. If the end product is good it will sell in competition against other modern custom makers. If it carries a premium just because of the brand, I think we are intelligent enough to see through that.My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Utopian, i am not insecure, i am passionate about straights & esp Wades.
You are deliberately picking out paragraphs of my posts and scrutinising me trying to trip me up & make me look like a fool with insults to my intelligence. So yes, you have something against me and your making yourself look daft & silly, not intelligent or mentor like.
Picking up on my grammer and other things I have said only says to me that your butt hurt at what i have said.
If you feel you have to put me in my place because of this, only makes you look like a bully, nothing more because deep down you know i am right

Thanked: 18Utopian. Thank you for that bit of information. I am 71 and just recently joined because I have a few Straight Razors I have bought from antique dealers. I get the impression from the sight that I could never afford a decent straight razor from any dealer, but Gabriel seems to have a bite with me and for the life of me I can't find where I have offended the individual. Being offensive, critical or abusive to anyone on the site is never my intention. For some reason I think his post or e-mail or what ever got misdirected because I can't find where I have offended him. Thanks for the research and demonstrating your point. Thank you

Thanked: 18Utopian. Understanding all the little acronyms and how they are used. Even on this thread the reply with a quote, When I get there I don't see how to use it. Reply is about all I understand. Again the BB open/closed and other odd acronyms. At 71 and not a technical person it is just plane confusing. I have received e-mails like from Gabriel saying I was blackening his name and that was just not true. I not however above he has apologized, so hopefully that misunderstanding is over, but the message came through that bothered me.. I will get back with you on something more specific if I may. Thanks.

Having recently acquired a +- 125 year old W&B, which shaves superbly, it's great to see that the brand will be re-established.
I might just have to drive down to KZN to collect one of Michael's 1st razors.Tony

Thanked: 3795I have not insulted your intelligence. I disagreed with you. I'm not trying to trip you up. I am disagreeing with you. Can you understand the difference? I'm not obligated to encourage you or your business and I cannot grasp why you would criticize me for failing to do so.
I also don't understand why you persist in making things up. I defy you to produce one instance in which I made any reference to your grammar.
I disagreed with your opinion and trust me, deep down I still disagree with you.

Thanked: 18At the bottom of the thred all the little acronyms that declare on/ of. I attempted to edit post but gibberish appeared to me. As I said I am not technical. Sorry to seem so stupid, but in this like other sites I just find all the stuff confusing, and actually it would probably take a course of 16 weeks to get through the understanding. But anything you can help me with. It doesn't have to be all at once. Just choose those I might be inclined to use. (
go advanced. What is that and how do I use it?), The dialogue bubble on the right with a plus sign. How is it used, how do you use it Thank you for your kindness .
