Thanked: 237Hmm. I guess it's just something that will never be known. Could have been modified when it was brand new, because there is no evidence it was done recently. that and it's perfectly ground. Thanks for the input gents!

Seems this example has much more meat out front.
I just wonder if they actually made a spike-point? Much less a French-point?
I reckon these things were in production a long time. Who knows?
So, Prodigy. Do you think the scales are original? Seem to be not as wide on the wedge end..Last edited by sharptonn; 10-27-2016 at 01:29 AM.

Here's the only other 9/8 spike point W&B I have, no markings on it other that the maker's mark....it's proportions and measurements are identical to each other (except for the magnificent thumb-notch ).

Thanked: 237Yea, I think I'll hold on to it. The scales are split on one side at the pivot, so I'll problem make some burl scales for it at some point.

Amen to that, Phrank! It seems W&B razors had a pecking order as to the steel.
The good ones are so much better! JMO.
TOMORROW! We MEASURE!

No probs. It's what we do
