Same for Puma, by the way. Mass produced. Nice razors, no doubt about it. But neither rare (actually, very readily available) nor particularly desirable (think "middle of the road").

Well, think of razors as milking stools. Because back in the day, both were just tools. The reason you only see (reasonably) good razors today is because the bad ones went into the trash bin.

    Whatever. You do You.
    Lol RobinK.

BTW, I believe almost all straight razors went for well below $100 before wet shaving caught on, historical or well-scaled razors may be an exception.

If you have any nice Fillys below $100 I'd like to see them.

    Cheers, Steve

You are completely wrong, of course. And a quick search on this site could have saved you the embarrassment. But, as I said, You do You.

Filarmonicas are mass produced Solingen razors. Which means they are good razors. Nothing more, nothing less.

For the record, the razor in the image above is a bog standard #13 Solingen blade with a silly gold wash. It shaves. Because #13, and rock solid grinders.

BTW, all of this is purely opinion but an interesting conversation.

Excellent. Now, Steve, please provide the irrefutable proof.

    Thank you!

Let's start with the provenance of that box of Puma scales.

Yes, I’m afraid you are right.
For me the winner is usually the one who has the greatness to let the other one prattle on without rasing to the bait.

In the meantime, I have withdrawn my subscription to this thread - at least until sanity returns.
No need to get notifications of a mud-slinging competition, right?
