Thanked: 0mee too
I love too. I don’t know enough yet to know what I want but I love the Damascus look. Is it really Wootz Damascus or Damasteel? If it’s real Wootz than I’m interested if I can at all swing it. If it’s regular steel I’m still interested. Isn’t his stuff stainless? Can that be a good thing? I suppose it is if you endorse his stuff but please explain so I can be informed.

Depending on price (and how far off we're talking), I'm definitely interested. Non-committal but interested!

Thanked: 335Lynn,
Is there any indication yet from the Maestro when he might have word on the proposed SRP razor?
Or what it might look like?
Or if he can make 82 different razors for only a buck two eighty each?

I might be wrong on all accounts but I'm pretty sure the secret of real Damascus steel using Wootz was lost long time ago. The only thing approaching it is multilayer steel, which is what's used to make some Japanese knives and swords, etc. But I think the razors are etched altogether rather than multilayer.

I am interested and have approval from SWMBO. Just depends on actual price, I can probably spend 400 usd or more if the aussie dollar is still high at the time....

Takeda sounds too cool. 7/8s or so. Keeping the scales simple and classy would help hold the price down. Would love to try one.
Regardless, thanks Lynn and Taz and ....? for putting this together.
