    Russian =
    Опасная бритва

    Literally, "dangerous razor"

    At least according to this site:

    http://britvasolingen.ru/

    A Google search turns up multiple hits with the same meaning.

    BTW, the term ОПАСНЫЕ БРИТВЫ in the title at the upper right
    is plural.

    Опасная бритва! That's great ... Wonder if that is some kind of back-formation from "safety razor"?

    Anyway, спасибо! (Thanks!)

    In the Estonian language, straight razor = habemeajamisnuga (beard shaving knife). A less-common word is habemenuga (beard knife).
    Hone = liip
    Strop = teritamisrihm
    Shaving brush = habemeajamispintsel

    Ok, here we go for one of europes if not the worlds oldest languages.
    I'm sure many of you in The States would have spoken this language before your ancestors "set sail"

    WELSH

    (welsh is razor straight/open)
    straight razor = ellyn syth
    open razor = ellyn agor

    I'm not fluent in Welsh so there may be a Y (as in Bryn-y-more) in between the words

    I was wondering about Welsh! I don't have Welsh ancestry myself but the BW and my kids do, a bit. I should dig around a bit and see if I can find the (Scottish) Gaelic; unfortunately my dictionary at home is Gaelic-to-English only.

    I believe "Zeepk" is Pakastani for "Won't cut"
