    Default What's on your list?

I was going through my razors picking the lineup to put in my seven-day box for the first week of the year. I figured I now had a nice assortment of the razors that I liked, and nothing that I really wanted to sell or trade away.

In a New Year's resolution kind of way, I though about what razors I would like to focus my search on this year.

Well, not that I would turn my back if I ran across a nice antique shop find, but here's the short list I came up with:

    - A nice hefty 6/8 or 7/8 Greaves
    - A Helje frameback
    - A reaper as my longshot
    - Much as I'd like a TZ, I don't think I could shave well with an $800 razor. I seem to get my best shaves when I don't have to worry about damaging my razor more than my face.

What's on your short list this year?

I've been searching for a big blade for a while. I'd really like something like a 10/8. Instead of hunting and hunting for one, I'm thinking I might get myself a custom when I finish grad school and get a teaching job...

I have also been trying to find a frameback that I really like for the last few months; it would be nice to find one of those sometime this year.

I wouldn't mind coming across a SatinWedge either.

Good question. I would really like to get:

-a NOS Sta-sharp with chromized steel
    -vintage T.I.
-I was going to say a Helje... but everybody else seems to be gunning for one, so I will hold off.
    - a nice Kinfolks

I will probably not get any of the above, since I don't like using sniping software, but that's life.

Who knows what the occasional jaunt through an antique shop will bring!

So you'll be needing my mailing address then, huh?

    Hopefully I'll find one soon...

All smugness aside, it really is a neat little razor. I don't see too many on ebay, but they do show up once in a while.
