Thread: A warning about razor discussions on Badger & Blade.

I had the audacity to disagree with Joel and his talking heads at Badger & Blade and just found out I have been banned for life. The only reason there IS a Badger & Blade is because he was banned from this group and several now defunct ones for being a jackass. Don't make the mistake of disagreeing with him or you too could be banned from B&B. I defended the quality of the new Boker razors which we believe to be ground by Heribert Wacker - who apparently was loured out of semi-retirement to make razors for Boker. Joel does nothing but dog Heribert Wacker's workmanship. If he ever wants you to go into business with him and supply something you have access too and you say no - be prepared. Whatever it is you have and he wants will be degraded and dogged in his "evaluations" forever – and if you try to publicly defend the product quality you may get banned for life. It’s just a word to the wise and setting the record straight - always agree and always say yes! I sell Heribert Wacker razors and I am proud of it.

Joel is a crybaby but everyone knows it, so that's not anything to scream about anymore.

Guys when you give information would you please give more explanation example Who is that Joel and what type rights he has to band you for a life?excuse me???

Joel owns Badger & Blade just like Lynn owns Straight Razor Place. The big difference being Lynn is the original straight razor blogger and forum host. He has done a lot to help new straight razor shavers since he founded the Yahoo group years ago.

I know Lynn and i was a member in his yahoo side long time ago.He is the man i have a lot respect.But don't know anything about joel will try to find that conversation between you and him.i want to know why band you?i have never seen Lynn band anyone from this side or yahoo groups?That is why i am in here and every single member has the right to say what they think?

hi bud gl, there is a really exhaustive thread which gets into the frustrations many have experienced with B&B and about how so many of us have banned for disagreeing with Joel, and you can get a lot of info and laughs there.

It was locked down because Lynn and Don (also banned for life by B&B by the way) because they don't want this site to be a forum for crabbing about another site. So we should respect that.

Almost all of the competent straight razor discussion on B&B is from SRP members that post on B&B from time to time, so you're not missing anything anyway.

That's what happens. I will disagree with you though and disagree with anyone's point of view in as gentlemanly a manner as possible. If some so-and-so want to ban people for that then you're better off not being there. With the SE/DE section here now there's no need to put up with those kind of abuses anyhow.

Badger and Blade is really more of a DE thing than anything else, in my experience. It was actually the forum I first joined when I became interested in Straight Razors. After finding a link to here, I quickly noticed I usually got a much quicker response, and more responses to any questions I had. I never looked back.
