Pop it over your cat while she's sleeping. Cats love that.

I could see it if it were hand made bubble wrap with maybe some caligraphy on the mailing label.

I want to see a picture of what a $3,000 razor looks like. Can you accommodate that request?

Sounds like a perfect time to do an objective public review of the razor in these forums. Your feelings about the presentation should be part of the review. Feedback like this will trickle back to the maker. You didn't even get a letter about the razor with instructions for care? Gosh, when I bought my Zowada Damascus razor, it came with a neat leather sheath and an instruction note, at least! And for quite a bit less $$$, too.

At 3k a purchase, it bothers me only in my dreams. I guess that makes it a nightmare.

I really do wonder what some makers are thinking when they package their razors. I've gotten a few customs, none at that price.. yet. that arrived in bubble wrap and i was a little taken aback, while others were in wooden boxes and some in plastic pen boxes... i store razors and transport them in cases... i think the folks who cannot be bothered with proper packages assume that we will place their blades in a glass cabinet for display only.

Ah, but imagine if that $3K razor got damaged in transit. Wouldn't you want plenty of "stress-relief" wrap to comfort you? By the time you popped every bubble you may stop crying.

I'm not sure a wooden case would be enough. I'd want the razor in a Peli Case, any wooden box could be sent separately.
