Thanked: 326I use Camellia.
I oil after every shave.
I've been considering Mineral oil ( works great as laxative as well ) from WinCo but haven't picked up yet.
Tsukuba is rather pricey but I've read great reviews

I switched to Camelia not too long ago from Mineral in the form of Wahl Clipper oil which is Mineral Oil. I like the Camelia better. It seems to hold up better. The mineral oil seems to bead up for some reason, not the Camelia I bought from SRD. I only oil the blades that are in storage awaiting their turn in rotation. It seems a waste to oil a blade only to wipe it off in a few days? I like JimmyHad Idea of wiping down his blades with a gun cleaning cloth available at Wal Mart. Most are silicone based, and would be perfect for that. I collect firearms and use them all the time. Never had a rust problem.
My home is climate controlled 24/7.
I live in Florida. Moisture is a big problem. Mold is the State Plant....We have assumed control !

Thanked: 213Camila Oil If it is good for 5 figure Japanese Samurai swords it is good for me and I wipe a blade after every use. Couple drops on each side spread with my fingers and put it away.

Thanked: 267Rinse the blade with hot water, wipe dry, then use an applicator with Ballistol in it. Every time I shave.
Take Care,

Mineral Oil for the Razor Blade
My dear Don,
What a coincidence: I finally did settle on camellia oil, which I ordered early this evening from Straight Razor Designs.
And gentlemen, thank you all for your thoughts and advice.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 522OIL
I use Camelia oil long term and TUFF GLIDE short term. I never gave baby oil a thought. I have a large bottle in the bathroom closet. Thanks for that thought.
I have not had a rust issue as yet. Knock on wood, huh!
