ChayesFSS, you need to check your private message from me, and then call me. If you can get from him without my involvement, do it. If not, I am willing to help you.

Hmm I don't have any PM's but I spoke with him and he said he's getting a lot of calls now with at least one of you stopping by tonight... He said that these razors used to shave Jimmy Hoffa (not sure but he said he's trying to get pictures?). If one of you do grab it out from right under me I'd appreciate the opportunity to at least purchase one if they turn out to be great razors.

I've been tempted to buy some things off Craig's List where I'm at in Minnesota, but never have.

Regarding the Texans that are calling on the razors you've linked to, you dropped some blood in a pool full of well shaved piranha my friend!!!!!!!

I try my best to employ this method:

    Chris L
"Blues fallin' down like hail." Robert Johnson
"Aw, Pretty Boy, can't you show me nuthin but surrender?" Patti Smith

    ChayesFSS...

You saw the ad and told us about it. You said you were having difficulty contacting him. I called him and he IS getting contacts from interested people, and will sell it soon. I doubt he would be interested in holding for you, boxing and mailing, etc. Proactively, I set up a time to meet with him tonight. I would hate for us to lose a good deal like this one appears to be.

But, in no way am I trying to undercut you. In fact, if I buy it (with your OK), I am very willing to discuss maybe even just mailing to you, with you giving me postage. We can talk. But, again, being totally above board with you on this one.

Well, Ol' Tony said he was quite surprised by all of the calls he's been getting today. I'll keep the old ziplip method in back pocket from now on.

Larry, go try and get the razors for yourself. Maybe if they turn out to be great you'll think about selling or trading one to me. My collection is giving my poor wife agina as it is, getting a bundle of razors mailed to my house would just make it worse. I've sent him a few emails but hadn't heard anything back yet concerning what kind they are. Please, let me know how you make out!

Took a little looking, but I got lucky on the very first eBay special I decided to bid on. Scored a sweet Solingen Wagner 13/16 for $10 and some change, shipped from the motherland over here to Macedonia. Wasn't shave-ready, but I took care of that, and the scales are pristine. Might not win any beauty contests, but she shaves real nice. What can I say? eBay been good to me.

I don't get it, 6 razors and a wrap for $225, with the chance the razors belong to the dump like the piece of junk that is open?

Ebay is full of awesome deals, you just have to be able to recognize them as such. I try to stay away from it or before I know it I've picked another dozen of great razors.

It's hard to say but there could be 5 filarmonicas in that roll, who knows till you look. Also, with craigslist ads, they put a price up then you go and negotiate with them.

Not much different than a flea market, junk and treasure beckons, naked sirens sing...
