I like Spanish or spike points the best. I have a mustache and sideburns to navigate around.

Thanked: 953round point. I also like square points that go straight down. I have some spikes where the point really sticks out beyond the spine and those are fun to look at but a little bit of a PIA (or PIF).

I love my spike point razors, but I would really love to get an Irish point someday. Maybe when i can afford a custom. I love the extra little point from a spike point, but the Irish just look better to me.
I don't really care for the round point, i feel like that extra bulb sticking out the end of the blade makes trimming alone the ear where sideburns grow a little difficult because the cutting edge doesn't go to the end of the blade.

Thanked: 25Points...
I like them all!!! I haven't cut myself with any of them, at least not due to the point

I prefer round point. But, the question is too imprecise in my opinion. Here are some questions that apply also...
Do you have areas (like a goatee) that require precise control?
Do you have problems cutting yourself with non-rounded points?
We might prefer a particular type of edge, but for different reasons. Too late. But, it would have been nice for a few more of us to have said why they prefer a particular type point.
For me, I don't need precise control, and I like the forgiveness of the rounded point.

I have not preference and find all points just a functional. Some more functional than others (ie spike point)
From purely aesthetic perspective I like Spanish points

Thanked: 335What can I say in the face of all who so very nearly agree with me? Points is good. The sharper more the better more, which is why I prefer the... dagger point.
Sharp is good; pointy is good. Sharp and pointy, ooooh, is even better. I don't wear earrings so I didn't need that lobe anyway. And one big nostril is soo much easier to blow. With thinner lips I kinda look like I have this big toothy grin all the time and I'm making friends faster than ever. Yup, a pointly razor is where it's at.
Nope, gimme a round tip any day. And no, it's not like having training wheels on your 10 speed racer.

Thanked: 22I like the look of a barber's notch, but not on a blade as narrow as 5/8ths. On those I would rather see a spike or round point. Irish points look good on any width of razor.
