I'm a newbie but I would like to try the Japanese Steel. If holli4pirating is going to give it a try I could actually pick it up from him. There may be more in this area that would like to give it a try.

If there are too many, I'll bow out to the more experienced shavers.

Thank you, but I'm going to pass; I'm still trying to get what I can out of Western razors before I expand my sights. One day, though...

I have the exact opposite idea. I want to try everything I can to see what I like before I throw down serious money on anything. Like test driving a car.
