Details on the shave tomorrow morning, after I use it. Someone with skills and a camera further down the list will have to take pictures since I lack both. All I have to say is that it sure is one beautiful piece of steel. I can't wait!

Those who have asked to be included in the pass around will get their chance. What I think will be the best way to go is after the current pass around is finished the razor will come back to me so I can inspect it and it will probably need to be honed so once that's done we'll do pass around part 2. As I recall there are about 9 on the list right now so you can roughly figure the time for part 2.

A month has passed and no news of the Hirohito.. Who's using it now, and how do they like it?

That would be me. I sent it out all insured and confimationed to #2 quite a while ago.

Oh, and it gave a great shave once I figured out the technique, but I just don't think Japanese straights are for me. Mainly because I'm not much good at collecting things, so even the two razors I have don't get rotated very evenly.

It is very different and it does take some time to truly master.
