Interesting. Most I've seen would have either Bresduck or Pearlduck on the reverse tang. Some came with an inlay in the scales and some did not. No idea on the timeline but someone may be along who does. Looks to be in very nice shape and will undoubtedly be an outstanding shaver once honed to shave ready.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I found one in a shop too recently, not nearly as nice though. I will tell you that even though mine is dirty and beaten up I honed it and it shaves wonderfully. It's a great razor!

I've never seen one like that before either. Its not a pearlduck. The special number 1 is really a bridge model that went from the Bresnick days right up to the pearlduck days. I would guess its a Bresnick which would make it probably late 1920s.

The Dubl Duck brand was sold and became Pearlduck in 1952 and stopped production in 1957.

You still might be able to find someone (here or on ebay) that would be interested in it as a collection piece. Or maybe you would keep her for that reason.

Production? They never produced anything. They stopped selling razors but the company was again sold in the late 50s and moved from Jamaica to Garden City N.Y selling beauty Supplies and was again sold sometime later to some corporation and the DD brand still lives as a line of pet grooming Supplies. I think they are located north of New York City.

Was told by an old timer and super moderator around here that Dovo made the Dubl Ducks.
