Thanked: 27
Nothing about this razor looks authentic. The people making these fakes are getting better & better at it, but this is a poor example. You'd think they would at least take the time to make the insignia correct.I've received offers from people selling these, and all types of other fakes by the case. Normally, the cases are only blades, no handles attached.
Top brand names are faked everyday, all across the world, and the majority of this crap is coming from China. Everything from shoes to designer hand bags. It's obviously clear that these people have discovered the world of straight razor shaving, and realize they can make a profit ripping us all off! Newbies discover the art of wet shaving everyday....the scams do to.
So far, I've seen fake Dovo, J.A.Henckels, Henckels Friodur, Dubl Duck, Wade & Butcher, and tons of knock off Solingen razors. So be careful where you invest your extra $$$ for shaving gear!

Henckels fake
I have seen and touched one of these now (not just in photos). My strong advice to all members is if you see one of these KEEP AWAY and dont be tempted to buy, whatever the price.

Thanked: 480The same seller has been putting up a number of other razors, including some rather expensive Globusmen Golds.
Anybody have any clue as to the authenticity of the other razors? If one item is a fake, might not ALL of them be?
Does anybody see anything in the other razors that might give them away as knock offs?

As a collector his Grand father seemed to like to have more than 1 of an item.

I don't know what you think but I think that the seller is Lord Swindle of Fakenham!

Second that
About the one that bought one
have you reported the fake yet?
As far as i know you will not find any info on single man henkels razors(looks to me like they newer existed in the first place)
This is mail fraud (if its fake) so you may have to report to the apropriate autorety to get your refund
They may possibly also help you determine that its fakeLast edited by janivar123; 10-24-2010 at 08:49 PM.

Fake Henckels
Yes this is the same guy. I wouldn't say he is 'back' as he has carried on selling all the time. Here is one currently on offer:
Straight Razor "J.A. Henckels" Solingen Nos! WW2 Rare on eBay (end time 31-Jan-11 22:28:22 GMT)
This is most definately a fake. Ever seen a one man Henckel? Stay clear and avoid this guy.

Thanked: 5May I ask if in addition to seeing and touching one, have you shaved with one? I do believe the seller is inaccurate in his description but based on a conversation with someone who actually bought one it is at least on par with the rash a 7/8 Fridour's being sold all over the place.
