I just paid for mine and it will be mailed tomorrow. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for my presents.

I have been lurking for a bit here. Just getting into the str8s, after a year or so of DE shaving. I have a pretty good case of RAD and couldn't pass this opportunity up. I have sent my PM to Robert, actually I think I sent him two before I figured out that I didn't have my settings set to save copies of sent messages and thought the first one didn't go.

I have my fingers crossed that the limit hasn't been reached. I'm sure there would have been a notice in this thread if it had been.

Robert said my number was 140 a few weeks ago, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

I too have been shaving with a DE for a while and recently got into SR's, and I think it is safe to say I am hooked, so much so that after only 3-ish months of using a straight I sent my PM today for one of these... I'm hoping that I didn't just go from a Kia to a Ferrari, forever doomed to look at anything else as an inferior product...

I'm pretty sure you just did. But keep in mind that there are plenty of models in the Ferrari line-up. And Ferrari is not the only high-end make in the world. Then again, you might not want to take your Ferrari out every day. Start a rotation!

Hmm... I definitely wouldn't say no to a 7-day Ferrari rotation...

    Cheers.

One of the reasons I'm glad for the SRD special is that a whole bunch of guys assume that if a razor is a heavy grind - that its silent - no feedback. Robert's blades put that entirely to rest. While I love the heavy grinds, if it doesn't talk while I shave, it doesn't satisfy and it doesn't stay in the rotation. For the full and near wedges - that feedback may be quite subdued, but if there's none - it goes. Over 3 dz heavy Sheffields. I haven't kept one. 'Not that they aren't handsome or made well - they are both - but no feedback. Now I can tell members to talk to anyone who has one of these blades if they want to hear about feedback in a heavy grind. Generally, the heavy Wackers are talkative (and a lovely shave). One Henckels heavy isn't the prettiest blade, but it talks like a full hollow, mowing off a week's growth in 2 passes. I suspect if more guys knew about what this was like, there'd be alot more demand for the heavy blades.
