So far my favorite straights are framebacks. Of the two I have, this is my favorite. They feel really balanced in my hands and really helped decrease my learning curve.

I have. We're weird, aren't we? Have you ever tried explaining it? "Well, I was saying on this on line forum the other night; it's a forum about shaving with straight razors. And I was saying that this photo this guy took of his shaving cream and stuff looked good. Yes, that's right, we take photos of our shaving cream".
    * Carl, you are hilarious, my friend! However, i have never had any of the neighbours ask any questions, so, for now, i am quite fortunate, but i a bit eccentric, anyway!

    Monday evening
    Hot water prep
Gillette 1969 Black Beauty long handle razor - Gillette Platinum blade - L'Occitane CADE cream - Barbershop Badger brush - cold water splash - Fougere Bengale eau de parfum sampler from Parfum d Empire - Tunes: Freddie Hubbard; Open Sesame

A quick shave, as I didn't have much time, nor much stubble after the last shave, lol. The cream and the razor combo somehow didn't work out well. The cream gives such a great, thick glide, that the razor rather went over the remaining stubble in the second pass, then cutting through it. So, not even completely smooth, but it's okay. Open Sesame is a record that's nine years older than both me and the razor. It was Freddie's debut and a total hit as far as I'm concerned. I love listening to it.
