A man should only look in the mirror when he shaves.

    Sunday before bed shave...

Prep: Shower, mild scrub with Shea Moisture Facial Scrub
Pre: Homemade P/S oil (Castor, grapeseed, olive oils, Juniper Berry EO)
    Strop: Red Imp 700
    Brush: Custom 20mm silvertip badger
    Razor: Joseph Elliot Patent Frameback
    Scuttle: LadySea in Tiger's Eye
Soap: Pyrate Cove Bay Rhum and Lime
2 pass WTG, 1 pass XTG and touch ups for DFS+
Post: Alum, cold water rinse, Oil of Olay Toner, Shea Moisture ASB, raw shea butter

Fantastic shave and amazingly quick. No irritation, no weepers... face is feeling very refreshed, which is great just before bed. I've gotten to the point where I have to literally pause and rethink everything when I try to use my DE.

    Monday

Razor | Wade and Butcher Special | Cream | Musgo Real Classic | After Shave | Musgo real No. 3 Spiced Citrus | EDT | Joop! Jump

Very nice shave this morning. I have always loved the scent of Musgo Real cream, and was disappointed when I (probably mistakenly) thought the classic scent was the ‘old’ formula that contained the ‘nasties’. Of course they created new scents that were also more natural (no SLS etc) and I’d bought the Orange Amber and liked it, but not as much as the old scent. So when I bought the old scent the other day (without even knowing it was a more natural formula; I decided to live dangerously) I was very happy to see it is essentially the same formula as the ‘new’ scents but with that same excellent classic scent!

The Musgo Real No.3 Spiced Citrus after shave is very nice; esp on the skin, but the scent doesn’t last; I like an AS that overpowers and lasts (as I enjoy overdoing everything). However, whacking the Joop! Jump over top of the Musgo Real in a frivolous ‘squirt here, squirt there, squirt there again, squirt down there in case I get lucky’ fashion worked wonders, so much that I got a compliment.

I also got a compliment on my new jacket and new shirt (‘spiffy’ was the word) which was nice…

Hope you’re all also getting compliments, we know Mikael is, but he's Swedish, so he has an unfair advantage…

    Prep - None
    Soap - Tabac puck
Brush - Muhle 25mm XL synthetic
Strop - Neil Miller 3 inch Cordovan leather/English linen
    Razor - T Hessen - Bruch & Co
    Post - Alum block
    AS - Aqua Velva

Face lathered cold water shave. The performance of the Muhle synthetic this past week has been so good that I feel no urge to use my other boar or badger brushes.
