Busted out my Dovo best quality. First/only "new" razor I bought a year ago. Thanks to Lynn's excellent honing, still giving me a smooth shave!!

    Pre-Shave - Clean & Clear face wash
    Brush - Vie-Long horsehair
    Soap - Williams
    Mug - unknown scuttle
    Razor - 11/16 Patent Tempered

Brought Bernie's old razor out tonight to stretch it's legs. I gave it a couple of passes on the .5 micron strop and it shaves like a millions bucks. Onward to Thursday

What a beautiful razor! (nice SOTD photo, too) The blade's shape reminds me of this modern one, by Brian Brown.

    Smooth shaving!
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Thanks. I sometimes wonder what kind of guy Mr. Pratte was. I think he would have been happy that someone restored his razor and continues to shave with it on occasion
