David, can we rest assured that no ducks were shaved in the course of this photo?

He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

    Wednesday evening
Pre-prep: Adjusting the shifts on my Shimano Nexus 8 hub
    Prep: hot water
Merkur Vision razor with fresh Feather blade set to "S" - Maca Root cream - Barbershop badger brush - cold water splash - Alum - Thayer's Rose witch hazel - Calani scentless balm - hot towel - cold shower - Farina Russisch Leder EdT

Second shave with the Vision and set to "S" on the WTG pass gave no issues whatsoever. It's a bit like DeeGee said: Is there a blade in there? Smoothness all the way. (...and I know Feathers by now).
Then, stuff got awkward. I felt overconfident (again) and set the Vision with the Feather to the highest (diamond) setting for the ATG second pass...
Result: as BBS as a man can get...
PLUS: 5 nics that I didn't even feel and probably a whole epithelial layer taken off, because the face is reddish, though without the feeling of rash...
Man those Feathers are Ninja blades!
Sneaking up on me like that...
In the limited experience that I have so far, I would say that a Merkur Vision with a fresh Feather blade set to the diamond is about as an aggressive DE shave a man can get. The Vision will continue to be explored though. I don't like it's clunkiness, but I do like its weight and the fact that you can pretty much take it apart completely to clean it from shaving cream gunk. (Purist as I am about cleanliness.)
The Russisch Leder is... well uhm... Leathery.

Have a great Italian holiday Bill.

I’m very happy it’s spring, it's 23 today, sunny and very ‘birdy’.

How can you have a spring if you don't have a winter?
