So last night it occurred to me that it had been a coon's age since I last shaved with a SE. This one didn't disappoint. I've never owned a razor of any type that could match this one with a fresh blade.
The older I get, the better I was

I have to agree. I have my grandfathers 1910 Gem SE and it gives great shaves!

Razorfeld's Relic Removes Double Duck Goldedge Curse SOTD!

Thank-you to Razorfeld for this awesome lathering bowl! As the curse lifted from the Double Duck 6/8 Goldedge, it caused the 3" SRD Roo Strop to shake violently, the MDC Fougere lather to froth violently, and the Semogue 1305 Boar brush to roar and speak in tongues. But it was a successful shave with no blood.

Damn it Phrank, once again my magic worked in reverse! It was supposed to make you want to cede the DD to me and free you of your shaving demons. I would have given it the baptism of stone administered by Glen of the Edges and have it sing me into the day. Oh well. Enjoy your new found joy of the shave.

And you do me honor showing the Relic to the world. Cheers!

First shave with my freshly restored Irish Razor.
Took her through the progressions from 1/4/8/12 k and finished on a CF hone.
2 pass shave, wtg and atg, DFS+ results.
Didn't feel the alum at all, just a wet slippery crystal against my face.
I'm liking the weight and the stroke of this antique blade.
    Happy Weekend str8 shavers!!
    Cheers.
