Good Black Friday to you, Gentlemen!

    Thanksgiving Day shave:

    Soap: Ye Olde Spice
Brush: Rudy Vey custom Desert Ironwood 24mm #1
Razor: The Pistachio Friodur, aka the Solingen Blade Of Doom
AS: Osage Rub & Witch Hazel
    EDT: M7, Yves Saint Laurent

M7 is my standard "holiday" cologne. It's dark, dramatic, potent and yes, even a little festive. I took an extra-special long time with this shave for the holiday, and enjoyed a lovely BBS feeling all day long. Also got to enjoy our new Valley "Cougar" pool table and Arachnid CricketPro 800 dart board with the family, both my wife's idea (!!). Happy Holidays to all!

    Genco Henry's XXX 5/8
    C&E BBB
    Mem sc
    Thayers Original WH w/aloe
    Anherb a/s gel
    Czech & Speake No.88 Edt

Took out my Wald 3118 Es-Ese and discovered a small crack in the blade about a quarter of an inch long perpendicular to the edge of the blade. Boy was I bummed...it was my second straight honed by Howard Schecter of the Perfect Edge...arghhh!!! Sucked it up and decided to go with the Genco honed by Nathan Zimmerman of not a bad edge if I do say so myself....made some great lather from the Mem and got two pretty good passes with the Genco and finished up with the '73 Superspeed. Had enough lather left for a two pass head shave and completed the deal with the C&S No.88 to help me feel better.

Brush: Martinez custom handle with 20mm silvertip knot.

Shave cream: Real Shaving Company Pro Formula Limited Edition.

Scuttle: Dirty Bird Pottery Original Scuttle.

    Razor: Dubl Duck Goldedge 5/8.

    Aftershave: Nivea Extreme Comfort balm.

My first shave with the Dubl Duck and I'm very pleased with it. I had a quick run round my face with the alum block to see if any areas stung more than others and barely had any stinging at all.

The RSC cream is available at Poundland stores in the U.K. and is incredible value for a very good product. It's a different formula to the regular RSC creams available in tubes and I find it to be very moisturising in addition to providing a good performance during the shave.

    Default Razorgal's first leg shave

From a Ladies Point of View. Well, I did my first straight shave on my legs yesterday. It was great! No cuts or irritation. I used a Wade and Butcher 5/8" with a kingwood scale (Thanks Glen). I used Mama Bear's Shaypre Rose, and a AOS travel brush. I prepped my legs by using hot rinse and a hot later. I broke my leg into sections doing one section at a time so that the lather would not get too dry. After the completion of my first leg I put a cocoa butter balm then followed up with a Eucerin Lotion. Then I went to the second leg. It was very relaxing for me. The soap helped me to relax and I felt pampered. The shave left my legs nice and soft. Most importantly I did not cut myself or give myself razor burn.
