Prep: HOT shower + Proraso pre-shave cream
    Brush: Vulfix / Old Original
    Soap: Omega Shaving Cream
Strop: TI pasted paddle strop + Jemico
    Razor: Boker - King Cutter
After: Proraso post-shave cream + Lucky Tiger Mustache Wax + Smith's Rosebud salve..

I was a little over confident taking this picture before the shave. The razor was not shave ready when I received it, but seemed pretty sharp.. I thought 10-20 laps on a pasted strop would do the trick, but I was very wrong. It needs to be honed. So I did less than half my face with this, and then had to switch to my Wade & Butcher to finish the job. I have been applying the Rosebud salve for 2 hours now and even though it really helps, it seems the damage is done and my right chin is going to look pretty red in the morning. Well.. I guess you live and learn.

    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: Silvertip Tweezerman
Razor: EJ 89, Astra blade (first shave on this side of the blade - 3 shaves so far on the blade, and confident I can get at least one more before needing to change it)
    AS: GFT Limes skin food
Shave: Pretty good, couldn't see what I was doing because the mirror kept fogging up. Missed a little bit on my chin, and a bit of rash (eased a lot once I applied the skin food though) and a nick on the side of my neck from some over-vigorous buffing, but otherwise excellent.

So this was an interesting shave for me. The last two really. I spent Thanksgiving with some family here in South Carolina and it involved traveling with a straight razor for the first time. I was a little worried.

Strop: Seat Belt strop with leather boot cord to hang it
Razor: 5/8 full hollow Red Point
Brush: Vulfix Super Badger (small and easy to travel with)
Soap: Kells Aloe/Hemp in Arabian Spice in a small glad container
    AS: 444

    Result...

GREAT. I was a little nervous about the seat belt strop, but I actually was very pleased with the results. I got a great shave both times while I was gone, and the entire setup fit in my dopp kit along with all the shower stuff. I'm was very pleased with the entire experience.

    Oh, and BBS.
