That's a really big, very nice looking razor.
BTW...What is that equally impressive object in the background? A scale model or replica of an engine?"Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

Razor: Takahashi Norikazu Kanetake
Brush: Omega Hog
Lather: C.O. Bigelow
Aftershave: Blue Floid
My second shave with a Japanese razor and I felt much more comfortable with the blade, which resulted in a better shave. JimR video was a great help with my shaving technique, and following his advice about going across the grain which allowed me to get fairly close to BBS on most of my face. I noticed that the Japanese razor, at least to me, requires short shaving strokes and the point is bit scary, especially when shaving in the “hollows” of the neck. I don’t know if this is common, but the razor smells like tools/gun barrels, which I noticed tonight while shaving my upper lip.
Burrr 53F here! lol.
