    Default The "Wizard of Whiskers"

This custom got a name after this mornings shave, the way the whiskers from 4 days disappeared it had to be magic...
The blade was built special for me by Butch Harner a 7/8 Full Hollow grind in a strong Damascus pattern The scales are all mine...

Full prep after a long hot shower with steaming hot towels a great lather of Prairie Creations bay rum whipped up with a 20mm restored silvertip Brass brush, after letting the lather sit while I added 20 last laps on a Roo strop, more steaming hot towels followed by a second creamy lather...
The first WTG pass was really all that was needed but I re-lathered after some hot towels and went with my normal multi-direction pass of ATG on the neck and XTG on the cheeks to a BBS shave and some of the tightest beard lines I have ever had. The Spike heel on this razor makes edging a snap. Followed with some Alum and a cold water rinse and a healthy splash of Lucky Tiger bay rum...

    WOW !!! What a shave....

    Default Sunday pm

Soundtrack - Steve Reich, Music for 18 Musicians
Prep - long hot/wet towel and Proraso Pre/Post
    Strop - SRD 2" web/latigo 75/75
Brush - drug store boar (the drug store boar brush that used to cost something along the lines of about $15 went down to $3 so I thought I'd give it a whirl...it was terrible. I've been using my old Wilkeson Sword boar brush that's at least 15 years old and it works great. Maybe I'll give the new one to my youngest daughter to paint with!)
    Cream - Proraso soap/Proraso Cream/glycerin
Razor - the Bengall(which seems to hold an edge for ever)
    AS
    - Aqua Velva
    ASB - Nivea Extreme
Post Shave Drink - a Heineken
Post Shave Activity - round 2 of Emma with my wife...or as I call it, Money, Inbreeding, Boredom, Plotting and Scheming.

    Have a great day!

    Julian
