ZMKA, I love the simple symmetry of those scales. I still make scales that look like they are the LEGO version of what I intended..I just made some gaboon ebony ones that I thnk I will throw away after seeing yours. Nice Razor!

Glen did a really nice job on these scales.
And its funny you should mention them. He posted a step-by-step full restore of this very razor (complete with pics) here. It even shows him making the scales.
After the razor was fully restored, it was given away in a holiday lotto. I was the very lucky recipient.

I decided to set up a little shaving corner on my balcony after seeing a local guy in his 70s shaving with a straight razor on the balcony across the street. He was "dry-shaving" with the razor in one hand and a small mirror in the other.. I guess if he ever sees me shaving he'll be wondering what the deal is with the nancy boy on the fourth floor across the street with the hot towel and pre/post shave routine.. he,he.. Nevertheless it is a very relaxing place to shave.. Almost like a safe haven. My very own little space secluded from all the traffic and business going on in the streets below. This was last week. 35 degrees celcius. No wind. 10 pm.
Location: Home sweet home.. Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Strop: IRS 206
Brush: Simpsons - Wee Scot
Pre/After shave cream: Proraso
Shaving Soap/Cream : Proraso
Razor: Punjo - Solingen
