[QUOTE=STRAIGHTRAZOR13;567824]Thank you Wintchase, for the kind words about my swords. You are not wrong in saying, that they made a claymore with a basket hilt. They did. It is all based on the circa, or time line.
Thanks, that clears up years of going back and forth on the claymore..I didn't think of something as simple as "time" as the factor of design. That is why I like this site! I am always learning something new.

One of my more recently acquired pipes - a rather large (IMO) Holtorp freehand bridge with beautiful straight grain. I really like Danish pipes, straight grain, and nice plateaued rims. I also really love the way the bridge looks.

Numismatics
I’m a numismatist. An area of special interest has always been silver dollars. Mostly Morgan Dollars, but Peace and Trade dollars as well. The Trade dollar was the only coin minted that was not circulated within the US. It was used for trade with China in the late 1800’s. Many have “chop marks”, a Chinese character stamped into the coin by the Chinese merchant that was a guarantee of the coin’s value.
Tonight’s razor is a Case Red Imp 132.

Well, I took some pictures, but didn't get to post them until now, so here's number one - I call it 'Perpetuum whiskey' (sorry, no more clues)
