Razor: 5/8 Shapleigh Full Hollow Spike Point
Soap/Mug: Tabac
Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
Brush: Omega Boar
ASB: Nivea Replenishing
Aftershave: Mennen Original Skin Bracer
Very nice DFS this morning with the Shapleigh. (thanks Frank!) I got it because it was manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri, my home town and I wanted another American made razor for my collection.
This little "plain wrapper" razor is a great shaver and goes to show that they don't always have to be expensive and have a classy pedigree to give great shaves. There is no fan-fare or trumpets sounding when this razor is taken out of the case. There are no Hollywood starlets swooning and breathing heavy when they see it in your hand. There is no Gucci price-tag hanging from the scales. This is a mans' service razor...you take it out, strop it and use it; simple, efficient and comfortable! I hope all had a great shave this morning as well!

Thanked: 603Frank Buster "Fightin' Rooster" [Friday]
jhenry and stroker: Thanks, guys, for the compliments! This razor is one of three from a 7-day set (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), which I bought a couple of years back from an eBay seller (no longer active). He had already sold "Wednesday", before I came across these three.
So, I remain ever-vigilant (and hopeful), looking-out for excellent-to-near-mint-condition Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday razors in this "pattern".You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Saturday
Pre: Hot shower/cold water
Razor: NEW
Brush: Custom 24 mm finest two band
Soap: Omega
Post: Proraso
AS: Barbus
Result: Very nice and cool
Decided two things this morning - 1. try a cold shave 2. save face and only shave head.
It´s hot and humid day here and it was very nice to to feel the cool sense of cold lather and when I splashed cold water after the shave, it was a joy to feel, the almost, ice cold sensation
