Str8 save no 19. The straight was again a bit better than last, and I would have been happy to go to work with no clean up after it. However I've got a nights sleep to fit in before I do so a DE was enlisted to provide a BBS.
Stroker made an observation yesterday about figuring which part of the blade to employ for each facet of the neck area. Previously I hadn't paid particular notice to which bit of the blade I had been using and I think by doing so tonight I was able to make some better sense of what I was doing and what might work better next time so thanks for that.
When DE shaving I normally do 3 DE passes plus some localised clean up with blade buffing and J hooking. However, if I do 2 straight passes and 1 DE I don't need to do anywhere near as much localised clean up work! I'm sat here with about the smoothest face I've had since puberty, some minor irritation but that's all a great combination of equipment.

For today's shave, I'm actually not sure of many of the details... I was test shaving razors at JoeD, CarrieM, and JrJoeD's place
Stropped my razors on a SRD EB strop (I LOVE it!)
Washed my face with a mystery bar of Carrie's soap that was out
Soaked whatever brush was out in a bowl
In walks Carrie with a custom shave cream - Root Beer Float - A blend of Vanilla Bourbon and Sasafras
Shaved with two razors, I don't remember what either of them are (really liking shaves off the Naniwa 8k)
Warm water rinse
Grabbed some AS Balm, but not tollay sure which
Sorry, no pics this time. Even more sorry you can't smell that lather!
