Great shave. After 4 passes late yesterday I didn't have much to cut but what was there was handled in a jiffy. Just two passes (N-S, S-N)
4 passes!!! your face is made from leather instead of skin.....

    Thumbs up Monday Shave

Second shave with the Le grelot today and i just love it. smoothest blade i have ever tried.

Cold water splash on the face and let the sponge and brush soap in cold water as i stropped the blade

Strop: 3" Black Latigo 60 canvas 120 Leather
Razor: Le Grelot 3/4 in bone
    Brush: Omega 05
    Soap: Muhel Sandalwood
    Aftershave: Nivea Balm.

2 passes till a nice smooth face followed by little touch ups here and there.

Cold water splash to wash off the face then the aftershave.

And finally 25 canvas 60 leather passes and blade oiled in ballistol and put away until next time.

Wade & Butcher The Celebrated India Steel Wedge
    Semogue 830
    Tryphon Mentolo ss
    Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
    Floid Vigoroso a/s
    Musgo Real a/s balsam
    Pino Silvestre Edt

Very good shave this afternoon with the W&B. It's a heavy wedge and takes some getting used to when compared with the full hollow grounds that make up the rest of my straights. The hot weather led me to the Tryphon Mentolo soap and Floid a/s followed by the Pino Silvestre...no vetiver or sandalwood in this weather.

I was lucky to be converted to the straight razor years ago in college by a fellow classmate. Collecting razors ever since have yielded some beauties. (I still remember haggling at some flea market years ago for a NOS Filarmonica No.14 for $10!) Joining this forum however has rekindled my latent SRAD.

It's a joy to share the razors with everyone.
