Great picture Amund! The Helje looks classy.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    1964 Macys badger
    1958 Executive/Iridium
    AOS lemon SC
    Lumene AS balm
    Tom Ford 'Azure Lime' EdP

Another excellent shave this morning using my favorite razor/blade combo. I did finally take a break from this set up over the weekend, but just for a couple days.

The vintage razor used on Saturday and Sunday is called a Kirby(made in France), and it's my very favorite change of pace razor. I can't use it many days in a row because I don't wanna push my luck......heh. A less aggressive razor to use than it looks, although I do have to pay plenty of attention to detail.

The handle's silver and tarnishes easily, but the scalloped head is different material. That part shines like crazy and the finish doesn't dull at all.

I escaped without injury and got some closer than usual shaves that were pretty darn comfortable. Very nice having that piece in the shaving arsenal.

Nothing but good ol' American steel for me this week, gents. Unfortunately my routine would get a bit dull if I tried to keep everything else American, but I've got plenty of razors to keep things interesting!

    Razor: Shumate's Tungsten
    Soap: Proraso Ultra Sensitive Skin
    Brush: Altesse super badger
    After: Dominica Bay Rum

Very interesting razor Martin! It looks brand new but the case shows some wear. How old is it? Looks to be in the 40's or 50's (WAG). Great find!

    Hot Shower
    EJ Best Badger Tortoise Handle
    C.O Bigelow Cream
    Frederick Reynolds 9/16

Well I may not be posting for a bit as we had a pipe burst in our home and have been forced out of our house due to the water damage.

Will try to post when I can from my phone.

Have a pleasant week or more gentlemen, I always enjoy the SOTD pictures!

Sorry to hear about the pipe, Lu. If you need to send all those pretty razors you keep showcasing in the SOTD somewhere to keep them out of the moisture, I know a nice safe house...
