After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    vintage Fields badger
    1958 Executive/Iridium
    Speick SS(milled into bowl)
    vintage Caron Yatagan AS
    vintage Caron Yatagan Pour Monsieur

I've sampled both the current Yatagan version and the one I have from the 70s. Definitely a difference between the two, with the older version being stronger and with more of that 'celery' note. Pretty fun stuff.

    BBS results,

    Martin

Razor: 11/16 C-Mon Special Spike Point

    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Col Conk Barbershop Badger
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave: Mennen Skin Bracer

Great cool shave today! First time with the Proraso and I like the cool menthol feel to it. Coupled with the Skin Bracer, it was a delightful shave on this 98F+ day.

Today I had another polar bear shave (it's SOOOOOOOOOOO hot out) and I welcomed a new razor to the fold.

    Freshly honed: DMT1.2k, Naniwa 5k, Naniwa 8k
    Freshly stropped: Tony Miller Apprentice
    A nice, cold shower
Cold soaked my Thater in my SRD mixing bowl
    Proraso shave cream
33/32 Wade & Butcher The Celebrated Hollow Ground Razor For Barber's Use
    Cold water rinse
Lucido After Shave Lotion (misnamed - it's a menthol/alcohol splash)

I have to say, cold water after a mentholated lather is very invigorating.

And yes, I shaved under my nose with this razor. No problem at all with the coup de maitre
