Cool SOTD July 9 morning shave

Well, I didn't shave Thursday so I am bringing out Mr. Stubbles.
Today however, I used the Ern Ator which I had honed sometime ago, and it was pure delight. Smoooth and sharp, got rid of the two day growth like the proverbial knife through butter.
Hot shower and hot towel treatment + Proraso preshave cream.
Soap used was the Vintage Blades Lavender in wooden bowl.
Omega hog's hair brush...just like the one Bruce (Stroker) uses.
    Thayers Lemon
Italian Floid. This aftershave is excellent, the scent stayed with me for the whole day; not overpowering at all....just a nice soft scent.

I thought there was a bit more in this blade, so it went back to the hones yesterday... I was right, as today's shave was just possibly the closest to date. I chose unadulterated Williams as a test for the new Semogue brush. Alot of folks complain of williams being hard to lather, weak lather, dries out too fast... I had none of that. The new SOC brush made a thick, rich lather that wouldn't quit... Highly impressive performance with a finicky soap...

Hey, BlackNTan, what are your thoughts on the SOC Brush? I have one in the mail right now, and can't wait... I am still angry that I missed out on the LE brush... I like the cherrywood handle and dyed knot more, but I hear this knot is made of a better density, so I'll survive... However, I'd like to hear from people who already own one..

I love boars, so I'm excited for this one

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I too missed out on the LE 2009, and reading all the posts about it, it seemed just too good to be true..
I've used the SOC 4 times now, and it's made a believer outta' me! I put it to the test with hard soaps that tend to give some folks trouble... Williams and MWF. I'm still in awe of the performance of this brush, and it's not even broken in yet! This morning's lather with 'da Fat was just awesome!!

    You're gonna' LOVE it!
