This Solingen blade is very nice, looks like a pretty plain German 5/8, but boy does she shave nice!

Pre: Hot Shower w/ Conditioner in the beard
    Scuttle: DB 1.5
    Brush: BentonClay/Vulfix Silvertip
Lather: BentonClay LimeBergamot + C.O. Bigelow (4 drops Glycerin)
    Razor: 4/8 Unnamed Solingen

First time out with the little Solingen after just having it sharpened for the first time by Sham. He put a beautiful edge on it and the razor was giving me one of the smoothest shaves yet. Then, I got a reminder about not loosing concentration. Just as I started to think how nice it was shaving me, I moved my tongue inside my cheek where I was using it to help me stretch my skin and wound up taking a divot that was reminiscent of Tiger Woods making a 75 yard approach into a green.

Overall: The razor gave me an incredibly good BBS. If only I could say the same about me!

We will start way East down the ridge line "on the left side of this pic" and work our way to the West "right in the pic",, The trail we are going to follow is over 100 miles long following the Lake Pend Oreille shoreline, but I doubt the wife and I will go that far

Starting off this morning with a fantastic shave...

Nichiri King Pelican Razor / Nichiri Strop / Maca Root shave cream / Cucumber Thayer's

Very smooth and comfortable shave, this razor never disappoints...

Also, how do you like the BB? I'm thinking of getting a bottle of it myself, but it would be a "blind" buy as I've never smelled it...

Thanks. It is a half hollow 6/8 by Joe Chandler.

BB and Castile are my favorite scents from Penhaligon's. Robin sums up the scent well in his review of the shaving cream. Only difference I find is the EDT opens with more citrus than the SC or ASB. It is potent stuff, and one spray lasts well into the day on me.

If you want to try it out, Penhaligon's has sampler packs for sale. I found the British Art Museum in New Haven sold Penhaligon's and was able to try the different scents. I am sure there is something similar in the DC area.

Great shave. After 4 passes late yesterday I didn't have much to cut but what was there was handled in a jiffy. Just two passes (N-S, S-N)
