Razor: 11/16 Wostenholm & Sons Pipe Razor Half Hollow Spike Point
Soap: Williams Mug Soap
Mug: Vintage Old Spice
Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
Brush: Omega Boar
ASB: Nivea Replenishing
Aftershave: Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum
Great shave this morning with the Pipe. The Williams SS doesn't have much cushion and not a lot of slide either but what it does do is encase the whisker standing it up to be cut. Just trying to see how each product performs for my own understanding of the different soaps and creams. Although the Williams didn't score very well in cushion or slide for that matter, it did provide a very close and even comfortable shave. It will remain one of my favs even though it doesn't have the aristocratic qualities that is expected from the high dollar lathers. (Gotta admit Williams is VERY economical!)

Hi Bruce,
Nice setup and interesting observation with the Williams soap...I have not used it, but I am wondering if you'd get better results if you mixed it with another soap (or creme) that has cushion (carrieM cremes, Mama Bear soaps, Trumper's, TOBS, etc...)?
Thanks for sharing

The Workman 5/8
Semogue 1305
MWF
Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
Lucky Tiger a/s and face tonic
KD Creations a/s milk
Vetiver de Puig Edt
An excellent shave today with The Workman...a couple of tiny nicks that I didn't even feel at first but saw the telltale blood that reminded me to move with caution and deliberation. Very zen-like IMHO and well appreciated...it's part of why I like using a straight.

Target Rules
Thank you Matt,
Yeahh. I know what you mean . My wife and I walked into Target ~2 months ago looking for a dispenser and honestly, I wasn't even expecting to see this one...I was looking for the regular dispensers to try out and see how they worked...then, all of a sudden, there it was...as clear as day!!! I was in heaven...that was exactly what I was looking for...and for $12.99 or thereabouts, one can't go wrong. They even have the blue-ish glass, which I may get for something else (don't know what yet )
