Thanked: 2259
Thanks, Robert!
It's actually a mug for Campbell's Soup, and it works almost as well for soup as beating a puck of soap into submission!
It's got a cup handle that I should have shown, but I guess I'm in the Andy Warhol period of my artistry! LOL
As a little humorous aside, I used to work with a nephew of Andy Warhol. He told me that his Dad always told him to "stay away from his uncle!"

Thanked: 530A Buckeye theme for my first UberLather
Well, Ladies and gents, it's my first go at UberLather, and I understand the hype now.
Razor: 15/16 Wostenholm IXL blade, rescaled in Buckeye Burl by Dave (CannonFodder)... Nothing like a big near wedge of wonderful quality to start things out right, and it's purdy too!
Strop: Tony Miller Horsehide and Nylon... Gotta say, lately I've been loving the horsehide. Can't wait till SRD starts selling it
Brush: A custom by Dave (CannonFodder) that goes wonderfully with my Wostenholm. It's got a BIG handle (3 inches, not counting the loft) and a 26mm knot, deeper-set into the handle to keep it tight and wonderfully dense!
The Bowl: SRD's Mixing mug... With how fiercely I whip lather, I'm a little worried about the upper lip on it, but it does it's job fantastically!
SC/SS: TOBS Sandalwood soap, The Body Shop for Men Maca Root shaving cream, and a pump-and-a-half of glycerin. Fantastic lather, it's like pudding in consistency! Love it
Results: I just went WTG twice, because I wanted to get a quick clean and test Uberlather, and it's fantastically smooth just from that.
Have a great day, guys and gals!
Cheers!
Jeremy

Thanks! TOBS Avocado is great stuff. As straights are so new to me I'm sticking with creams/soaps that I have consistantly gotten the most
cushion and slide from-this one is definitely one of them. I also like to use it
when my face is sore from previous shaves as it's quite soothing, I'd almost say healing.

I had very little to shave today. Still wanted to try. My first shot at Uberlather.
Hot shower prep
TAOS Preoil
Vestavia brush
Jasmine Puck soap
da Bomb SC
Glycerin
Started with Othello razor from the class. First shave with it. Wasnt doing the job.
Finished with W&B Razor with sambar stag scales.
SRD 3in Latigo Strop
Skin food
Thayers Lavender Witch Hazel
TAOS Balm
Amazing lather. Creamy, Great cushion. Im HOOKED!!!!! I havent used this puck soap in a long time. Forgot how great it smells. BBS couple spots need touch up. Mostly because of how short my stubble was.

1) I am glad that you are hooked on the uberlather
2) I am sorry about the Othello's shave ...Is it the razor or could it be the bevel/edge that's not sharp/polished enough?
Better shave next time...that's something to look forward to, heh?
Maybe I'd wait 'til Sunday...You will sure enjoy that shave...Something to be said about 1 day growth
