    Incredibly smooth feel!
I like the "vintage" look of this shot ...especially the bowl (of all things). Looks like it's from the 1930s or something.

Tons of super lather today. I did some laps on balsa and then a lot of laps on two different leather strops and the Revisor showed her best result so far. Actually I should send her off for honing, but I like her so much that I don´t want to send her away, lol. Have a good day today All! Only free day this week and a lazy shave it was
Beautiful Revisor Mikael . I am in the market for a similar (not this big) but a tad smaller (6/8-ish). Did you get yours from Thomas @ Revisor-Solingen?

By the way, you gotta love "lazy" shaves...it reflects ones mood perfectly

Thumbs up Week of August 8 SOTD - Saturday

Pre-Shave: Hot shower + Stephan's Conditioning Smooth Shave Creme
Razor: 7/8" Le Grelot 14 "Hospital", Round Point
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Überlather: Al Raz Da Bomb Custom Shave Creme (scent: cloves + orange + a hint of cinnamon, formulation: dense)
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Post-shave: NancyBoy Replenishing AS
    Cologne: Penhaligon Opus 1870
    Facial Moisturizer: Trumper's Facial Moisturizer
Result: Great start to the day. Went for a nice ~6 mile hike/run (see pictures below), met up with the wild life (a Lynx (I think it was from behind) wild cat and a couple of deer) on the trail (sorry not in picture...ran away by the time I was ready to take my camera phone out). After a nice hot shower, got ready for my shave using Al's shave creme (3rd try...EXCELLENT lather, as always. I found the sweet spot for this baby) and my recently acquired Le Grelot "Hospital" (purchased from "wrl", who had it rescaled by Max in butterscotch linen micarta ). This truly is a magnificent blade. Shaving with it was nothing short of awesome. Clean as a whistle . I could even compete in any BBS competition with any baby and probably even win . Now, I am ready for my nephews' birthday (I am sure there will be wrestling involved).

Thank you Robert, it means a lot coming from the guy with many nice blades! Well, the first Revisor I had I bought from Thomas, but not this one. I do have a lovely 6/8 ... that I maybe could trade for something nice . PM me if you´re interested and I´ll send you pics (it´s in very good nick) I bought it from "rum" here for 90 £ a couple of month ago (on B&B), if I remember right. It´s like a new and with full hollow blade made in carbon steel.

    SOTD Saturday August 14, 2010

Razor: 11/16 Wade & Butcher Full Hollow, French Point
Pre-Shave Cream: Proraso Crema pre Barba
    Shaving Cream: TOBS Almond
    Lather Bowl: Ceramic
    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Medium Badger
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave/Cologne: Aqua Velva Musk

First full shave with the W & B after honing and it was very close and comfortable. I think I will make more finishing passes on the Chinese 12K next time to smooth and finish the edge a little better. I only made 20 passes last time but, I think 40-50 would be better with a slow stone like the C12K.
