Week of August 8 SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower + Stephan's Smooth Conditioning Shaving Creme Razor: 7/8" Frederick Reynolds Wedge, Barber's Notch Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger Creme/Überlather: CarrieM's Black Raspberry Vanilla Shave Creme + TOBS violet Soap + Glycerin Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (lavender, no alcohol) Post-shave: Trumper's Limes Skin Food Cologne: Truffit & Hill Spanish Leather Facial Moisturizer: NancyBoy Replenishing Facial Moisturizer Result: This morning, I had a surprisingly better shave with my Frederick Reynolds than I am used to. For me, this beast usually performs at its best when used on whiskers that are 2 days old or so, but today...well, what can I say? I was pleasantly surprised. Very smooth shave. For all I know, it could have been my prep . And CarrieM's creme...Top notch!! Delivers moist, consistent lather on demand .
Have a productive and great Monday gentlemen .

Thanks
Thank you guys...but it's going to be going to max for rescale. You see there are 2 factors behind this:
1) The scale (the side you don't see in this pict) was broken clean in transit from Lynn to me (USPS abuse...go figure). It's now been superglued temporarily until Max is ready for it. I will discuss with Max what to dress this blade with...something simple and classic that accentuates the beauty of the blade will probably be the likely scenario.
2) My wife wasn't crazy about those funky, red scales...She thinks that the scales needed to change and that the damage was a blessing in disguise...Sorry "Traveller" (he's the one that made the scales, I think)

By my mind- ebony scales, or black horn would be nice.
But ask your wife at first!!!
