At first, I was not crazy about the Edelweiss, but I have grown quite fond of it. It gets better with each shave. I am also really loving the AOS after shave balm. Great shave today!
    Nice shaving kit. Congrats.

BTW...I just ordered some shaving soap and aftershave from Mama Bear--the Lime Ice. Trying to stay cool during this heat wave.

    Default The Triplets

A wonderful shave tonight... I've been busy recently, so this is long overdue

    Razors:
    - A 13/16 3/4-full hollow Pearlite from old sheffield... Big beefy tang and spine. Redone in Black horn with a Jasper wedge by Brad (Undream)
    - A 7/8, 1/4-near wedge Joseph Rodgers from Sheffield. This one took a lot of work (by Brad) to get shaveable again... It was in awful condition, and he did wonderful work with it. Redone in Blonde horn with a turquoise wedge (again by Brad)
    - A 7/8 Near Wedge Fredrick Reynolds. Also from Sheffield. This guy was, like it's brothers, done by Brad, in multicolored horn with a yellow-stone wedge.

I've gotta say, I am floored by Brad's work. the scales look fantastic and the fit and finish is out of this world. The work on the blades was absolutely wonderful, and his edges are excellent. Along with the wonderful work done, Brad is absolutely wonderful to work with. Very good followup, and very good at getting what you want done (I know I'm a terribly picky, fussy customer, so thanks for working with me, Brad, I'm happy as could be with these.)

Brush: Stephen's Woodworking #6 from SRD. It's great.
Cream: CarrieM's Black Raspberry Vanilla. Smells delicious and lathers wonderfully
Strop: TM Horsehide and Nylon. I've been using horsehide a LOT lately... Can't wait for SRD's Horsehide to come out

A fantastic shave, guys and gals, and these blades are WONDERFUL!

    Cheers!
    Jeremy

Ouuuchhh my friend, Ouuuchhhh! I do feel your pain . Nice Boker though. These spikes demand respect, don't they. But once you give them that respect, there's nothing they won't do.

I have a few spikes and they are amongst my favorites...Mean as HELL, but awesome!!

Nice setup too...Enjoy your new found love (scuttle)

    Otto,
All I can say is: "You da man". That is seriously a nice Revisor with a vicious and mean looking, 90º spike. That's about as pointy as they come...I LOOOOOVE it.

    Brush: Cheapo silvertip
    Soap: Nannys Yushu LE
    Post: Proraso
    AS: Floid
    Reslut: A nice one
This blade is very nice, it´s a vintage Solingen blade made for the Swedish market (you can read faint Swedish letters on the blade, se pic two). Did some more serious scyting (sliding) moves today and it worked fine, even though some of the hard to get rid of stubble disapeared other areas was worse. I did however get two nicks :-(
