    Default SOTD 17+18 082010

Double SOTD post today for yesterday and today...

    LEFT
    17082010
    Location: Taipei, Taiwan
    Time: 0715
    Soap: Knize Ten
    Brush: Fuller 22mm Butterscotch
    Razor: J Wosty 11/16
Aftershave: Taylors of Old Bond Street Sandalwood Balm

    RIGHT
    18082010
    Location: Taipei, Taiwan
    Time: 1115
    Soap: Castle & Forbes Lime
    Brush: Semogue Boar 1305
    Razor: Joseph Elliot Gem 6/8
    Aftershave: Trumper's Coral Skinfood

Both great razors. Aesthetically the Wosty is one of my favourites now. The patina and scales are stunning. But it's the Gem that is the superior shaver, all I can say is Wow. Thank you Dylan (holli4pirating) for both, your razors have always exceeded my expectations. Great shaves have got me through some busy, hectic days.

    Hi Brad,
You do exist ...you've been operating incognito lately. I guess work was consuming your time.

Nice to have you back (playing catch up) and nice setup. Those are mighty fine blades .

    No sweat Jeremy,
Who needs pictures?....We'll just use our imagination buddy .

So, did you do 1/2 and 1/2 with the 2 razors or what's the deal?

Nice tunes playing in the background too (especially the "princes of the Universe"). Isn't that the theme for Highlander, the series (Duncan McCloud from the clan McCloud)? I think David (nubskillz) will appreciate this as I believe (if I am not mistaken) he is working on post-production of the DVDs for this series.

Yes, it was difficult to get time to set up and take photos - today is my Wednesday - writing, Chinese class, personal day etc - Not sure how much I'll get done but its nice to do an SOTD post. Thank you for the comment - they are indeed mighty fine blades, the Gem shaves unbelievably well. Yay for Wednesday.

Half of the face with one, half with the other... I generally only do WTG passes these days since I have a bunch of razors to test... On days I test three razors I do the sideburns and the majority of the cheek with one razor per side, and then the last of the cheek and the mustache/beard area with the third razor.

Also, Yes, I believe Princes of the Universe is the Highlander theme.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
