    Max, it was only decoration.
    Most of the time I use the AF-S 24-70 1:2,8 G

But you're right- the 85mm lense is beautiful.
    Regards
    Tom

    Cool water splash
    Erasmic Shave Stick
    Semogue SOC Boar
    Gabel 36
    SRD Premium 1 strop .. 40 Linen/80 Leather
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea AS Balm
Ice Blue Aqua Velva.... Men Get It!!

The Erasmic stick continues to give me fits!
But, I did 50 laps with the Gabel 36 on the Naniwa 12K yesterday, and had the pleasure of stropping it this AM on the new SRD P1... A smooth 3 pass shave with poor lather, but I'm close. Sometimes, less is more!

The Rex reminded me this morning what happens when you lose focus with a straight in your hand. I was having a great, smooth shave. The first 2/3 of my WTG pass I was thinking of JimmyHAD's signature admonition to keep a light touch on the razor. Then I let my mind wander to work. Next thing I know, I feel this sharp sting at the corner of my jaw just under my lip. I'd stopped moving the razor blade first and instead started a slicing motion. I knew it would be bad when I felt it! So I gave myself a nice inch long slice as a reminder that you can either be in charge, or the razor will take charge for you!

Despite the lesson learned, a DFS!

Here's to the great shaves, and may you all learn from my lesson so that you need not experience it yourselves!

Some days we're the hammer... Some days we're the nail!

I think we've all been there... Heal quickly!

That is one heck of a lens Tom...the 1.8s were one of the best Nikon made.
