The weather is continuing to be uncooperative, but we press on!

Today's SOTD is taken at nearby Grumman Park.
The actors for the day are backdropped by a Grumman F-14... perehaps the greatest Navy Fighter/Interceptor the world has ever known! The Grumman plant, now closed, where this F-14 and the pictured A-4 were test flown and produced is only a couple of miles from here. My late Father-in Law worked at the Grumman plant in Calverton for many years.
It used to be quite a sight, while hunting birds on a local farmer's fields, to be looking up the twin tailpipes of an F-14, so close it seemed one could almost touch it, while the pilot lined up on the runway to land, or do a touch and go.
These old warriors, while getting a bit long in the tooth are still pretty impressive to this boy..

    An impressive photo...Nice shaving kit.

BTW...I'll bet that Tomcat and Intruder could give an enemy combatant a VERY close shave.

This is a picture of The Quabbin Reservoir. They flooded a 4 towns when building this. When full, Quabbin holds 412 billion gallons of water.
The second Picture is from the highway over looking the Pioneer Valley. Not a very good picture sorry. Oh yea!! That is a penguin my daughter made for me.

No, I do not shave in the dark. But damn if I have not been trying to get home early enough these past few days to take a decent outdoor SOTD, without success. But I can't let you guys have all the fun, can I?
