Awesome shave after a 3 day growth. Bob Allman scaled and reground this Butcher and she is a plow!. I would have been plenty happy with just a single pass but after 2 my face was sticky smooth! Great start to the day.

Tuesday and Wednesday shave
First time posting in the shave of the day since my return from holiday.
Decided to hone up my bone grelot on Tuesday but the shave was still lacking so Wednesday I tried some chalk on my linen strop as a touch up and it worked wonders.
My first shaves were also to test out my new gear from my euro trip. I ended up buying dr Harris malbroigh soap and bowl and a tobs sensitive cream with a super badger brush.
Tuesday shave.
3" web and leather 50/100
6/8 le grelot in bone
Dr Harris malbrough shave soap
Tobs super badge.
Wednesday shave.
3" strop and web with chalk 100 chalk 50/100 strop
6/8 le grelot in bone
Tobs sensitive skin cream
Tobs super badger brush.
Both shaves were excellent. Must admit the badger brush is amazing and won't be goin back to the badger at all!Shaving_story on Instagram

Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Strop: Rup Razor, 50 on leather
Scuttle: SRD
Cream: C.O. Bigelow
Brush: TGN Cherry
Razor: AOS-thiers issard
After Shave: AOS Sandalwood
Cologne: Polo Blue
Result: Nice shave, a great way to start my day (again have to post after the day at work as I have no time to shave and post before work).
This is my first razor. I shaved with it when it wasn't sharp, ordered a Dovo from SRD, then put this one on the shelf. I practiced honing on it (if you look close, you can see the uneven hone wear). I eventually got the bevel set and got it shave ready. Shaving with this one always give me a sense of accomplishment.
This weeks posts are looking great guys. Keep them coming!

Ain't that the truth?
I know exactly how you feel. My first str8 was the Respecto #77 and it is my practice blade (you see it often on SOTDs)...but, I have a sentimental attachment to this thing. It is my "go-to" blade. It has never let me down and I feel this was and always will remain my true "first love". And it takes a great edge too .
