    Chris,

Very nice-looking shaving kit. I love my Filarmonica DT 13. How about you?

BTW...How is that Kent shaving brush? Just wondering.

Default First SOTD in a while

I have not been very active in the SOTD threads lately.
I love seeing al the nice stuff in here and the creativity of you guys.
So I thought I would try to contribute a bit more in the time to come.

    Today's shave:
I love Saturdays, all the time in the world, just doing whatever I want to do.
Shaving comes high up on the list of things to do on a day like this.

Prep: A lovely bath, followed by a trip in the Sauna, and then a good shower.
Cream: Alraz Saigon shaving cream, love it.
Brush: Plisson #16 High Mountain White
    Scuttle: schwarzweisskeramik Large
Razor: C-Mon Filarmonica 8/8 round point. What a sweet shaver!
Strop: Kanayama #90000, all 3 strops used.
    Astringent: Thayers medicated Super Hazel.
ASB: Alraz Saigon After shave balm
eau de toilette: Penhaligon's Opus 1870

A grand shave. I feel like a million dollars after this lengthy and luxurious self-treatment

Post Week of September 12 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Pre-Shave Oil: Truffit & Hill
Razor/blade: Deluxe Vintage DE Safety Razor / Gillette 7 O'clock
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Überlather: Trumper's Violet Shave Creme + TOBS Lavender Shave Soap + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Post-Shave: Trumper's Sandalwood Skin Food
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Spanish Blue
Result: Today was a great day for a DE shave. It also seemed like a great occasion for the Trumper's Violet SC, which was nicely cooling in the refrigerator for the last ~3 months and was almost forgotten about (BTW: I keep all my cremes in the fridge until needed...keeps them from going "bad"). Well...almost forgotten, but not quite!! It, in combination with the TOBS Lavender soap provided for a wonderfully synchronized symphony of scents that blanketed my stubble with a very thick lather. A mix of Trumper's moisturizer and Floïd Spanish Blue aftershave splash made for a refreshing yet moisturizing finish. Hmmm...I love it. Simple and clean. BBS feel all across the face.

    Great picture Greg,
Those are the best memories one can carry with oneself...cherish it. We literally have 100s of vintage shots (from grandfather's childhood days to my sister and I's early days). We are now digitizing all of them for safe keeping. It fun to watch them with mom and dad...it's history at its best. Frozen moments in time.
